82nd annual Academy Awards nominations
For only the second time in the 82-year history of the Academy Awards, an African-American was nominated for best director (Lee Daniels, “Precious”). Meryl Streep landed yet another acting nomination. And there were 5 too many best picture nominees! The countdown is on to the Oscars.
